When your organisation chooses refurbished over new, your Scope 3 procurement emissions drop on the next report. The figures below are estimates and we say so on every quote. These are the per-item estimates our certificates use. The saving we report is the net figure: the emissions of making the item new, less the footprint of refurbishing, transporting and delivering the reused one. It is never the whole of the original footprint and it is never zero. Under GHG Protocol accounting rules, recycling gives the waste producer no carbon credit. Nothing We Handle Goes to Landfill
No furniture we handle goes to landfill, and every clearance leaves a waste transfer note to show it. Items in good condition are refurbished and resold. Items beyond repair are broken down and recycled by material type: metal, plastic, foam, wood and fabric. We work with licensed recycling partners across the UK so every item is processed responsibly. Wood sent to landfill generates around 925 kg CO2e per tonne and textiles around 497 kg per tonne. Zero to landfill avoids the highest-emission disposal route for every material we handle.

Have Quality Furniture to Clear?
Furniture with resale value pays for part of the job. Resaleable items are valued at the scoping visit and credited against your clearance, recycling or refurbishment bill as Reuse Credit. Your old furniture stays in circulation, your bill comes down and your reported footprint shrinks. Do you provide waste transfer notes?
Yes. Every clearance and recycling job includes waste transfer notes as standard. These are provided within five working days of collection.
Can you provide carbon savings data?
Yes, on reuse and refurbishment, which is where genuine carbon savings arise. We provide estimated carbon savings on quotes and certificates on completion, based on industry-standard lifecycle assessments. In line with GHG Protocol rules, recycling is reported as weight and items diverted from landfill, not as a carbon saving.
What is your recycling rate?
Everything we handle is reused, refurbished or recycled. Furniture beyond repair is broken down by material type: metal, plastic, foam, wood and fabric. Each material stream goes to licensed recycling partners.
Do you send anything to landfill?
No. We run a zero landfill policy for all furniture we handle. Items are either refurbished for resale or recycled by material, and every job leaves a waste transfer note.
Can you provide documentation for audits?
Yes. We provide full documentation packages including waste transfer notes, Duty of Care certificates, weight reports and recycling destination records.
Do you buy old office furniture?
Yes. Resaleable items can be set against your bill as Reuse Credit, or our Buyback service can buy quality office furniture from your business outright. Ask at the scoping visit and we will tell you which pays better.
Can you match our reporting requirements?
