The Carbon Case
A new office chair carries approximately 76 kg of embodied CO₂e. A new desk, 91–120 kg. A storage unit, over 200 kg. When we refurbish these items, we preserve that carbon investment. When your organisation chooses refurbished over new, your Scope 3 procurement emissions drop immediately.
Under GHG Protocol accounting rules, recycling gives the waste producer no carbon credit. Reuse is the only pathway that genuinely reduces your reported footprint. Read the full evidence base.
Zero Landfill Commitment
No furniture we handle goes to landfill. Items in good condition are refurbished and resold. Items beyond repair are broken down and recycled by material type: metal, plastic, foam, fabric.
We work with licensed recycling partners across the UK to ensure every item is processed responsibly.
Wood sent to landfill generates 925 kg CO₂e per tonne. Textiles generate 497 kg CO₂e per tonne. Our zero-landfill commitment is not just good practice; it avoids the highest-emission disposal route for every material we handle.
Carbon Savings
Choosing used furniture significantly reduces carbon emissions compared to buying new. Manufacturing a single office chair produces approximately 72kg of CO2. A desk produces around 150kg.

Yes. Every clearance and recycling job includes waste transfer notes as standard. These are provided within 5 working days of collection.
Can you provide carbon savings data?
Yes. We provide estimated carbon savings on quotes and certificates on completion. Data is based on industry-standard lifecycle assessments.
What's your recycling rate?
100% across all materials. Furniture is broken down by material type: metal, plastic, foam, wood, fabric. Each material stream goes to licensed recycling partners.
Do you send anything to landfill?
No. We've maintained a zero landfill policy for all furniture we handle. Items are either refurbished for resale or recycled by material.
Can you provide documentation for audits?
Yes. We provide full documentation packages including waste transfer notes, Duty of Care certificates, weight reports, and recycling destination records.
Do you buy back old furniture?
Yes. We buy quality used furniture from brands like Herman Miller, Steelcase, and Humanscale. We can offset this against new orders or pay directly.
