The Orangebox Models We Buy
Flo
The premium task chair and the most sought after. Fabric and mechanism decide the offer.
Do
Extremely common, so supply is high and value per chair is lower. Strong demand in matching batches.
Joy, Eva and Ara
Budget and mid-range task chairs, worth selling as part of a batch.
Soft seating and booths
Away From The Desk, Cwtch, Campers and Dens. Hard to sell privately, in demand refurbished for breakout and reception areas.
Orangebox is specified across UK offices and almost unknown to private buyers, which makes a batch hard to sell on a marketplace and easy to sell to a refurbisher who resells to businesses.
Which Orangebox Models Hold Their Value Best
- Flo The premium ergonomic task chair and the strongest seller. A smaller pool of used stock keeps its value up.
- Soft seating and booths Away From The Desk, Cwtch, Campers and Dens. Hardest to sell privately and among the easiest for us to place, because businesses fitting breakout and reception want them refurbished.
- Ara and Eva Mid-range task chairs with steady demand in quantity.
- Do The most common Orangebox chair in UK offices, so supply is high and value per chair is lower. Matching batches still sell well.
- Joy The lowest per chair. Worth including where it fills out a batch.
Strongest first. This is the order we see in what businesses ask for, not a price list, and condition and quantity move a batch up or down it.
What We Check on an Orangebox Batch
- Fabric: stains, fading and wear, the biggest variable on Orangebox
- Seat foam: still supportive or compressed
- Gas lift and mechanism: every adjustment working
- Arm pads and castors: the usual wear items
- Soft seating: frame sound, fabric and foam condition
- Batch: matching model and fabric
We state what we will pay rather than what the batch might fetch elsewhere. Fabric, foam and gas lifts are handled as standard during refurbishment, so a tired batch with sound frames is still a batch we want.
What to Photograph on an Orangebox Batch
- The whole chair from the front and the side, on a plain floor
- The fabric close up, including any marks or fading
- The mechanism and the levers under the seat
- Booths and soft seating photographed whole, with rough dimensions
- One photo of the batch together, so we can see how many match
Booths need dimensions
Dismantling and transport are most of the cost on Campers and Dens and Cwtch pieces, so send the configuration and rough sizes with the photographs and the offer will be right first time.
Fabric is the variable
Orangebox is almost all fabric, which shows wear more than mesh or leather. Clean unstained fabric is worth noticeably more, and tired fabric is reupholstered rather than written off.
Phone photographs are fine. These are the shots that let us make an offer that holds at inspection.
How an Orangebox Batch Actually Sells
Specified, not shopped
Orangebox is designed and made in Wales and specified across UK offices, and almost invisible to private buyers. A marketplace listing struggles. Businesses buying refurbished know the range and ask for it by name.
Soft seating is worth listing
Booths and breakout pieces are the hardest things to sell privately and among the easiest for us to place, because businesses fitting out breakout and reception areas want them refurbished.
Fabric is the variable
Orangebox is almost all fabric, which shows wear more than mesh or leather. Clean unstained fabric is worth noticeably more, and tired fabric is reupholstered rather than written off.
The process is the same for every batch Send photos and a list, get an offer within one working day, we book collection around your business hours, and payment follows inspection. Seating from 25 at a time, from businesses and organisations only.
What Happens to the Chairs We Buy
Every batch is stripped, cleaned, reupholstered where the fabric has gone, fitted with new wear parts, tested and resold to another business. Chairs beyond refurbishment are recycled by material and nothing goes to landfill. See the refurbished Orangebox chairs we sell, or read how Reuse Credit works against a clearance. A business keeping its fleet should look at chair refurbishment instead.
Selling Orangebox Chairs, Answered
Do you buy single Orangebox chairs?
No. We buy from businesses and organisations in batches of 25 or more, and we do not buy home office furniture.
Which Orangebox products do you buy?
Flo, Do, Joy, Eva and Ara task chairs, and Away From The Desk, Cwtch, Campers and Dens soft seating and booths. Other Orangebox pieces are considered on their photos.
Why is the Do worth less than the Flo?
The Do is one of the most common task chairs in UK offices, so supply is high. The Flo is the premium ergonomic model with a smaller pool of used stock, and it holds more value per chair.
Do you take booths and pods?
Yes. Campers and Dens and Cwtch pieces are quoted from photographs with the configuration and dimensions, because dismantling and transport are most of the cost.
Our fabric is faded and marked. Is that a refusal?
No, if the frames and mechanisms are sound. We reupholster during refurbishment, so fabric condition lowers the offer without ending the conversation.
Can the value come off a clearance instead?
Yes. If the furniture is part of an office clearance its resale value is credited against the clearance invoice as Reuse Credit, and we handle the rest of the building.

Rated by the Organisations We Work With
The team at Coggin helped me with an office refurb this summer and the service was 10/10. No pressure was applied and Jess allowed me to plan and take my time. We went ahead with 10 desks and multiple storage units, also replacing my old furniture and recycling it. Install was extremely smooth with minimal disturbance to our sales floor. We will be using Coggin to refurb 2 other offices in 2026 and 2027.

We used Coggin for our recent office refit. They removed for recycling our old office kit and supplied c. 30 refurbished chairs, at a fraction of the cost of buying new. From start to finish, Jess was a delight to work with, being prompt with information, keeping us informed and being flexible when we changed our minds. Would recommend these chaps in a heartbeat.

Thank you to Jess and all the team at Coggin for their hard work and dedication in providing us with more high quality refurbished chairs, and a full impact report for our ESG & sustainability reporting. I'd have no hesitation in recommending their services, every item we've received has been of very high quality with service to match.
