How do I sell my office furniture?
Coggin SOS buys office furniture from businesses. Send us photos and a rough list through the form on this page. We reply within one working day with an offer or questions. If we agree a price we arrange collection nationwide, inspect the furniture at our facility and pay.
Do you buy office chairs on their own?
Yes, in batches. We buy task chairs and meeting chairs from 25 at a time, and matching batches of the same model are worth the most. Premium brands hold their value best. Single chairs and home office chairs are not something we buy.
Is there a minimum quantity?
Yes. Seating and meeting tables from 25 at a time. Desks, storage and pedestals from 50 and ideally 100 or more. Mixed office estates are considered as a whole, so a full floor with fewer of one item can still qualify. Smaller lots are better suited to a documented clearance than a sale.
Who do you buy office furniture from?
We buy surplus office furniture from businesses, councils, universities and other organisations anywhere in the UK. We do not buy home office furniture or single items. If you are clearing a workplace and have batches of seating, desks or storage from quality manufacturers, we would like to see it.
How much is my office furniture worth?
Brand, condition, age and quantity set our offer. Premium manufacturers hold their value best, and matching batches of the same model are worth more than mixed lots because they resell as complete sets. Our offer reflects what we can realistically refurbish and resell.
When do I get paid?
Our offer is based on your photos and list and is confirmed when we inspect the furniture at our facility. We inspect within 14 days of it arriving and pay within 14 days of the inspection, so payment is made within 28 days of arrival at the latest. If you choose Reuse Credit there is no separate payment. The value comes off your clearance invoice, so the good furniture cuts the cost of clearing the rest.
Do you collect anywhere in the UK?
Yes. We arrange collection across the UK, booked around your business hours to keep disruption to a minimum. Access, floor level and parking affect the offer, so tell us about them with your photos and we will plan around them.
What if my furniture has no resale value?
We will tell you straight rather than waste your time. The right route then is a documented clearance with waste transfer notes, recycling certificates and carbon data for your ESG records. Coggin SOS sorts and processes every clearance load at its own facility in Lancashire, and nothing from a clearance goes to landfill. Clearance is a quoted, paid service with the price agreed before we arrive. Where a clearance includes some resaleable furniture we credit its value against the invoice as Reuse Credit.
