What the price gap buys
The Remastered costs more because it is the current generation. It has 8Z Pellicle mesh and PostureFit SL as standard, and the tension of the mesh changes across the seat and back. The Classic is discontinued, so refurbished is now the only way to buy one, and it costs less for the same frame life.

SizesWhich size Aeron you need
Size B fits most people, roughly 160 to 196 cm, and it is the size we hold in the largest numbers. Size A suits smaller users up to about 163 cm. Size C suits taller or heavier users. The sizes are not interchangeable.

Refurbished vs used: know the difference
This is where most buyers get caught out. The word "refurbished" isn't regulated. Anyone can use it.
Some sellers wipe a chair down, take a photo and list it as refurbished. Others strip it to the frame, replace the worn parts and rebuild it to specification. The price difference between those two can be small. The quality difference is enormous.
Five questions to ask any seller.
- Has the chair been fully disassembled and inspected?
- Which parts were replaced, and with what?
- Has it been function tested after the rebuild?
- Does it come with a warranty, and on what?
- Can I see the chair, or a sample, before I buy?
If the answers are vague you're probably buying a used chair, not a refurbished one.
